Modeling and analyzing a simple multi-stage supply chain using advance demand information

In a production system using advance demand information, the information is sent to an upstream company certain period of time before production, and firm-order just production. Unfortunately, companies are frequently burdened with excess inventory late deliveries. Therefore, it necessary analyze effect variable factors, such as fluctuation gap between information. The model was based on following three steps. First, considering supply chain consisting four companies, suppliers can be classified into types, according timing firm order Second, consists combination types suppliers, depending sending order. Finally, production-activity structure for each type supplier modeled. Then, they were formulated implemented analysis simulator. Using this simulator, several case studies investigated. As result, confirmed that bullwhip increased by sudden demand, especially when increased. addition, whose daily numbers stock quantity fluctuated drastically changed identified.
